Looking for a Gehna Photo alternative? How GehnaLab compares
Gehna Photo and GehnaLab both turn one phone photo of your jewellery into catalogue images, and both are built for Indian jewellers. The difference that matters most is what happens to the piece itself. This page compares the two using only what each publishes, checked on 23 October 2026.

Short answer
GehnaLab is a Gehna Photo alternative for jewellers who need proof the piece was not redrawn. Both turn a phone photo into catalogue images for Indian jewellers. GehnaLab locks the piece's own pixels, checks each image against the upload and marks passing ones Piece unchanged; Gehna Photo publishes no pixel-match claim that we found.
Key facts
- The two are unrelated companies.
- GehnaLab: 5 Looks free, then ₹499 for 10 Looks; each Look returns 3 options.
- Gehna Photo: first 2 images free, then ₹1,499 for 20 images (as published on 23 October 2026).
- GehnaLab images that fail its check are not charged.
- Compare only the images you would actually use, and check both sites for current prices.
The main difference: what happens to your piece
GehnaLab separates the piece from your photo before any AI runs. The AI paints only the background, light and props. Your original pixels are then placed back on top, and every image is compared with your upload. Images where the piece matches carry a Piece unchanged mark; images where anything moved are labelled AI look and are not charged.
Gehna Photo describes itself as an AI-powered jewellery photoshoot platform that turns one photo into a styled, catalogue-grade set. Its terms of service say it converts uploaded photographs into catalogue-style images using machine learning, and that outputs are generated automatically and may vary in quality. We did not find a statement on its website that the piece is kept pixel-identical to the upload, or a per-image check that tells you whether it was.
That does not mean every Gehna Photo image changes the piece. It means the two products make different promises. If your buyers compare stone counts, meenakari colours or hallmark positions against what arrives, a guarantee you can see on each image is worth having.

Comparing price per image fairly
The two products count differently. Gehna Photo sells images. GehnaLab sells Looks: each Look returns 3 options of your piece in one setting, and you keep the one you like. On the entry packs, that is ₹499 for 10 Looks against ₹1,499 for 20 images.
Count only the images you would actually use. If you need one white image per piece for Amazon, compare GehnaLab's cleanup at about ₹12 an image. If you need a white image, a styled scene and a story for every piece, compare a Look against three images elsewhere.
When Gehna Photo may suit you better
- You want to choose backdrop, tone and image size yourself for each image rather than pick a Look.
- You only need occasional images and its free offer covers them.
- You are already using it and are happy with how your pieces come out.
We would rather you choose the right tool than the wrong one. Try both with the same piece, ideally a detailed one such as a kundan choker or temple haaram, and zoom in on the stones.
When GehnaLab is the better fit
- You sell pieces where a changed stone or motif causes returns: kundan and polki, temple jewellery, diamond and gemstone work.
- You list on marketplaces and want a white background image plus social images from the same upload.
- You want to know, image by image, whether the piece is exactly yours before you post it.
- You build large catalogues and want consistent scenes across hundreds of pieces.
The demo on the home page shows real outputs, including the ones that did not pass our check. Every new account gets 5 Looks free.

Questions jewellers ask
Is GehnaLab related to Gehna Photo?
No. They are separate products from separate companies. Both use the Hindi word gehna, meaning jewellery.
Does Gehna Photo change my jewellery?
We cannot say for any particular image. Its terms describe outputs as generated with machine learning and say quality may vary; we did not find a pixel-match guarantee on its site.
How does GehnaLab prove the piece is unchanged?
The piece region of each final image is compared with your upload pixel by pixel. Only images that match get the Piece unchanged mark.
Which is cheaper?
It depends on how many images you need per piece. GehnaLab's entry pack is ₹499 for 10 Looks, each with 3 options to choose from; Gehna Photo's is ₹1,499 for 20 images, as listed on 23 October 2026.
Can I switch from Gehna Photo to GehnaLab?
Yes. Upload the same original phone photos. Start with the 5 free Looks and compare results on your own pieces.
